[TUT] Making a player admin on your RSPS [TUT]

Hi guys, so in this tutorial i will be showing you how to make yourself admin in your own Runescape private server! I will post other tutorials on different things, this is; Coding for beginners!

First of all you will need a source, unless you already have a working source you can download from either http://www.runelocus.com/forums or http://www.moparscape.org/smf/index.php

Step 1. Once you have a source, click on the folder and you should have something like this:



Step 2. Click yourself into the folder called "Characters"



Step 3. If you have created a user before the players username should be in the characters folder as a text file like this:



If theres more than 1 account there, find the account you wanna make admin/owner and double click it like this:



Step 4. Now what you wanna do is to find where it says:

character-rights = 0

Now comes the important thing!

If you cange the 0 to 1, you'll make the player MODERATOR. If you change the 0 to 2, you'll make the player ADMINISTRATOR, and if you change the 0 to 3, you'll make the player OWNER OF THE SERVER!

So let's use OWNER OF THE SERVER as an example. Change the 0 to 3, like this:



Save, quit, compile and your done!

why not just add giveadmin, givemod,... commands?

Sure, it's very basic and stuff.. but it's harder to add commands than making urself admin. This is just some basics, for beginner coders or server owner! But say it if i need something more, and if you don't like it!
